It's a holiday for a country whose liberal notion of religious freedom was brought about by a group too conservative for anyone else to take in. But in practical terms, it's a family thing; at least, it's meant to be. Different reasons for running don't lessen the distance it creates.

She shifts in her chair, leaning a little further back and popping a piece of candy in her mouth. "Somehow I doubt she celebrates." Though of the three of them, Eden is probably the most qualified to cook a turkey. She rather suspects that the real reason Chase isn't out at a party because he rather pointedly lacks a date-- just a guess, really-- but that's a topic she isn't touching with a ten foot pole. And besides, it's an awfully uncharitable thought to have.

Speaking of uncharitable thoughts...
