[She stiffens, not afraid but startled by the suddenness, the urgency of what he says. Meeting his eyes, she raises her hands to grasp his wrist, taking his hand between her own and lowering it slowly, never breaking the gaze.]

[And she means it, or at least she would like to. Cameron squeezes his fingers, trying to reassure him.]
