[Cameron is out and about as she would be any other day. Life in the City marches on regardless of its Citizen's small troubles, curses and chaos becoming commonplace after a while. She not compelled to do anything ridiculous at the moment, so she's going about business as usual.
This means Cameron's fair game wherever you might bump into her-- on the way to or from the hospital, in City General itself, out for lunch or a cup of coffee-- so tell her whatever you want to tell her. She's a good listener.]
[ooc; open action is open! i would love to have her meet some new people too so don't be afraid to toss someone at her even if they've never spoken before. :3]

...This cop stops a car for traveling faster than the posted speed limit, but he’s in a good mood so he decides to give the poor guy a break. He's gonna give him a warning instead. He asks the guy his name.
"Freddy." [He's good at differentiating the voices.] "Freddy what?" "Just Freddy."
Now the cop's like what the fuck, man and presses Freddy for a last name. Freddy tells him he used to have a last name but he lost it. The cop thinks he's got a real nutcase on his hands but you know he's a good guy, he plays along.
"Okay, buddy, tell me how you lost your last name."
So the guy says, "It's a real long story. I was born Freddy Johnson, pretty boring right? A guy like that grows up to be a nobody. Well I studied hard and got good grades cause I didn't wanna be a nobody and when I got older I decided I wanted to be a doctor. So I went to college, medical school, internships, residencies, and with my degree I was Freddy Johnson MD. Then after a while I got bored bein' a doctor so I decided to go back to school. I was gonna be a dentist. I got all the way through dentistry school, got my degree, now I was Freddy Johnson MD DDS."
[Small break for a dramatic pause and a breath.]
"Then I got bored doin' dentistry so I started doin' my assistant and she gave me VD. Now I was Freddy Johnson MD DDS with VD. Well the ADA found out about the VD so they took away my DDS and I was Freddy Johnson MD with VD, then the AMA found out about the ADA takin' away my DDS because of the VD so they took away my MD, leavin' me as Freddy Johnson with VD, then the VD took away my johnson so now I'm just Freddy."
[The end. He waits on Cameron's reaction.]

And to think, [she says, with a breathy hitch of laughter, which from Cameron is quite a reaction really,] you were holding that back. [And she smiles a little broader.]

[He plays along knowing full well she's smarter than to think Freddy's held back his name and his origins for something as ridiculous as this. Besides, he's packing just fine. Anyway, it's the hint of a smile he was after and seeing it on Cameron's face makes him smile too.]

I can see why you'd rather maintain the mystery.

[He adds a wink to that, because he can.]

Who're you gonna tell?
no subject
Well, it seems medically relevant.

It don't sound like you gotta consult with anyone, otherwise I think we got this thing called patient-doctor confidentiality.

[He demands in a friendly manner, as if daring her to have the courage to show him her palms, assuming they'll be empty and thus free of writing canvas and writing utensils.]

Neat trick. So what do I owe you?
[Talking around the cigarette, acting as if Cameron has been the entertainer all this time. Neither does Freddy think much of the touching, as long as she's still smiling or laughing, maybe both. He lets go of her hands.]

Nothing. Call it a late Christmas miracle.
