So the problem is entirely on her end? Not denying that going on a date with House would be... weird, at best. Your tone of voice and the way you quickly decided to look after her just made it sound like there was something more going on. Maybe I'm wrong.

Also, there's nothing wrong with being single. You'd have your pick from quite a selection if that wasn't what you wanted for yourself.

We've worked together for three years. Not helping her get oriented would be the more questionable option. It might make for a poor working relationship if I let her get eaten by a bear.
