Given the nature of today's curse, if you injure yourself at all, I'd strongly advise you to go to the hospital. Even a minor scrape or bruise can be deadly if the blood doesn't clot, and in some cases serious damage can be done by an injury that isn't even apparent-- internal bruising and bleeding are more difficult to detect, and therefore all the more serious.

It seems to be the clotting factor that's affected, and introducing more into the deficient system doesn't seem to do anything. So far the best bet seems to be to physically staunch the bleeding as best we can, and order transfusions for those who've lost more fluids...

Sutures. Half the waiting room are standing around because they've got a boo-boo on their finger.

I'm recommending keeping anyone in showing severe bruising or joint pain, keeping both ORs on alert for internal bleeds where cauterisation fails. Keeping up with the patient flow is harder, but sure, tell them their scratches could be fatal. That'll calm things down.

I'd rather spend the extra time checking people who are fine and maybe scare some of them into being careful for today than have someone's stiff upper lip cost them their heartbeat.

You're scaring people for no reason. Even without a clotting agent, someone dying from a scratch or minor haematoma in the space of a day is unlikely at best. Recommending spending the day at home wrapped in a big fluffy blanket would be more salient advice in most cases.

This is essentially a widespread outbreak of severe hemophilia, that seems worth worrying about. Especially considering that we cant be certain this is just a one-day situation.

It's worth worrying about, not panicking over. Stitches are working fine in most cases, and when they're not it's already going to be a situation people know to get checked out. If it's still going on tomorrow we'll keep dealing with it tomorrow.

I would recommend against using needles of any type. My own attempts at sutures only led to more bleeding... I've sent for some liquid skin adhesive to see if that would prove more successful.
