☤ fifty-six

It's a waste, but curiosity always gets the better of me in the end. Honestly, it's pathetic. I ought to know better.

On the off chance that any of you have tips for how to get out of here, I'd love to hear them.

[ooc; please no duplicates of existing House cast without the concerned players' consent. ♥ Cameron is forever season 3, she can forget things if she needs to but in general, please just be gentle with spoilers. BACKDATING FRIENDLY because life > me~]

Generally one gets out the same way you came in.

[identity profile] evolutionsbitch.livejournal.com 2011-02-27 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
They're called anomalies. They have a habit of popping up in the most inconvenient places. I take it yours closed before you could get back through.

This isn't my first time through. Though I admit, I've never landed in any place like this before. You're lucky - you might have landed in the Permian.

Well, a number of methods have been tried, but, unless great leaps have been made in our collective attempts to escape the City, there's nothing certain. Correlations, yes, but nothing more.

Yes, correlations. You haven't read about them? No, don't answer that--I don't imagine my notes are even in circulation. I would be more than happy to discuss what I know with you, however, provided no one eats me.

Not to impose, miss, but would you know of any... er, secure buildings that guests might stay in?

That's all well and good, but I'm afraid their open door policy might not be all that conducive to my survival. And yes, I fully expect to be eaten, thank you. If that happens, I'm afraid I won't be able to tell you anything at all.

The video feed shows what appears to be a store. Before you can get a good look at it, though, a boy, friendly and smiling, pops up.

He smiles at her. A pause. And now an older man and a girl enter the feed, she speaks to her next.

They totally must have heard you. You were very clear on the matter.

The man goes towards the back, and returns with a video.

He pops in the tape.

[identity profile] its-much-better.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
The video feed now focuses on the television with the tape. It shows what is clearly the same boy and girl from the store, except they're dressed up. The boy is dressed up in a shirt, suit, no tie, and a cane, while the girl is in a fairly standard medical coat, with some important looking badge attached, and a clipboard with a file. They are mostly staring at the camera, and instead of speaking how they were a moment ago, they speak almost robotically.

Upon closer examination, the father is on the floor, with what looks like powder all over his face.

He turns and lightly shoves the girl, who reacts very over-the-top and nearly falls down.

She moves as though going to leave, but the boy holds her back.

She bends down to whisper in the patient's ear, , and then she thumps twice on his chest, much like one would to a faulty television.

He sits straight up,

And as it ends, they all look at the camera, grinning.
