Has anyone ever seen a naturally occurring medical condition present as a result of a curse?

I've seen infections spread by curse-induced vectors, but that's not entirely the same thing.

Because it's part of the diagnosis.

Because, if I woke up on one of these weekends unable to feel pain, I wouldn't automatically assume I was sick.

The simplest answer is usually the right one. Occam's Razor. If you woke up with a... 'superpower', would you need to ask the network if it had ever happened before?

Comic books. If the lack of pain puts you at risk of hurting yourself, it's an illness. If you can heal from it, it's a superpower.

The fiction-to-reality balance of the population here isn't relevant. I don't find your logic persuasive, unless I missed the class in med school which explains the subtle differences between CIPA and a kryptonite allergy.

I have a patient with a healing factor. I've been trying to establish why they can't feel pain, to see if there's a way of reversing it. In two years, I haven't got far enough.

Wouldn't it be as effective to consult your patient and see if their condition has changed?

If I'm mimicking someone else specifically, it seems likely that it would be. Besides-- if you're correct in your assumption, wouldn't it be more useful to establish what your patient's physiology is like when it's acting normally, than to observe mine when it's irregular?

[It's possibly the most selfish thing she's ever pointed out. Cameron's not sure why she's so intent on not letting him know he's right... perhaps it's just a matter of principle.

I've had that chance before. I haven't had the chance to observe anyone else with the... condition.

I'm not convinced this is any more scientifically aimed than satisfying your curiosity, that's all. If you're even right.

I have a patient. That's who I'm thinking about. Attractive as the inside of your head is bound to be, I haven't been sitting here waiting for excuses to get under your skin.
