It looks like we can put away our snowboots, at least for the moment. Snow in June was unexpected, but I suppose it's the City's typical style. Does it go both ways-- are there midwinter beach days, too?

I hope everyone's all right after yesterday... Curses like that, I think, lend some credence to the idea that the City in some way thrives on our emotions. Positive or negative. More of the latter than the former... maybe it's just common to hate your father. Disturbingly Oedipal, if that's the case...

Oh, the horror. I think I've suffered through enough fittings on feet in need of a heavy duty sander.

Slowed but not stopped. We're still dealing with the caseload. Unless you want to finally fulfill that fond wish to be a guidance counselor.

I'm just noticing the change in the trend. If the smoke the other day was an effort to eradicate the insect population, it makes sense that we'd still be seeing some new cases just based on incubation periods, and the tendency of people to ignore symptoms until they can't anymore.

Along with that trend of 'people who need a hug'. A slower influx means we can have a more focused out the haves. The have-nots can take their sweet ass time.
