It looks like we can put away our snowboots, at least for the moment. Snow in June was unexpected, but I suppose it's the City's typical style. Does it go both ways-- are there midwinter beach days, too?

I hope everyone's all right after yesterday... Curses like that, I think, lend some credence to the idea that the City in some way thrives on our emotions. Positive or negative. More of the latter than the former... maybe it's just common to hate your father. Disturbingly Oedipal, if that's the case...

Maybe I ought to get out more, maybe--

You know, I've never entirely understood that expression. How often does anyone find oneself short half a pound of sugar?
