Stay in public places if you can. Well-lit, somewhere you aren't alone. As silly as it may seem, trust your instincts. If something seems suspicious, don't second-guess that.

I can't remember-- maybe it's better not to think too hard about that.

It shouldn't last past midnight, if last time's any indication.

[ooc; fgsdfg please pretend this was earlier in the day sobbb]

[The camera shakes a little, coming in and out of focus as she trains it on the bottom of a door. Small, pale tendrils are starting to creep through underneath it. The picture is jostled again as one foot stomps down on the little feelers... When she moves back again they're gone, crushed into a thick, gelatinous paste on the tile floor. From the other side of the door comes a menacing, deep noise that almost sounds like...

Quacking, actually. It sounds like quacking.

Cameron sighs, sounding surprisingly not terrified.]

I think my leftovers are trying to kill me.

[The picture comes up, obviously not an intentional broadcast, slightly out of focus an off its angle. A glittering pile of broken glass on a table shatters and reflects the light into odd shapes on the walls and ceiling. Next to that, if you can make it out, is a handgun.

Allison Cameron is too busy to notice that she's been caught on film, leaning on the radiator and bracing a broken chair across her window as a makeshift bar. The pane is shattered, but a large, clear trashbag has been duct taped over the opening. Outside on the fire escape is a dead sheep; there are small smears of blood visible on the jagged pieces of glass left on the sill. Eventually she manages to wedge the plank in place, and wanders off screen to fortify other windows. Until the connection times out, there's only the dead sheep staring, blurred by the plastic sheeting, flexing softly in the breeze.]

[ooc; please assume this was posted at some point after the widespread attacks begin this evening, i know it's up a little early but i wasn't sure i'd have a chance later. sorry for any inconvenience]

[For a moment there is nothing but quiet panting, someone trying to catch their breath. When she speaks it's in a low tone, stumbling over words. She's clearly just this side of a full panic.]

I figured I'd be fine as long as I just stayed in today, but I guess someone figured out I was at home. Every now and then I can-- [She pauses, and if you listen closely you can hear a heavy pounding in the background.] Can hear them trying to get in. I keep hoping they'll get bored and give up on me but so far...

[Cameron laughs quietly, obviously on edge.]

Midnight can't come quick enough... and it's not even Halloween yet. Can't wait to see what that brings....

[ooc; IT'S A TRAP. come and save her, she will try to eat you, and given that she's been taking self-defense lessons she might have more of a shot than otherwise expected >D If you are okay with being bitten/eaten/killed and tossed in the fridge for later munching, please to let me know ♥ ALSO PLEASE FORGIVE LATE POSTING I HAD A TEST. SOB.]
